Quincy's Eyescapades

STORY

               Quincy’s is a simple 2D platformer that follows the story of an anthropomorphic eye creature that is on a quest to revitalize his eye with the Sacred “Drops”. On his quest to find the Sacred Drops, he must first conquer four unique biomes that have turned mad from “dry-eye-syndrome”. In these biomes, plant, and animal life attempt to stop Quincy from stealing the Sacred Drops. Their source of aggression is unknown, however, Quincy must conquer those who stand in his way regardless if they’re potted plants or turtles. Can you help Quincy through his Eyescapades?

CONTROLS

WASD or Arrow Keys to move

SHIFT to sprint

F to Shoot

SPACEBAR to Jump

SPACEBAR X2 to Double Jump

• If SPACEBAR is pressed fast enough in quick succession, Quincy will perform what’s called a “Super Jump”. These work best on platforms and are vital to beating the game. Have fun messing with the physics in the game to discover new paths!

               Quincy’s Eyescapades is heavily influenced by early age platformers, such as Megaman, Kirby, and Mario. All assets used were created/recreated by me or created by other creators on itchio. This project is not for profit, and is simply a first attempt at game design  :)

               Music is provided by “R” on youtube, who recreated MF DOOM’s music in a 8-bit/chiptune style.
